Before you book. Cacheuta offers more than one type of thermal visit. This guide concerns the Parque de Agua Termal, a family-oriented water park near Mendoza, not the operator’s Hotel & Spa. Its pools, children’s areas and optional adventure activities suit an active day better than an expectation of quiet spa treatments. A water-park admission is not a hotel stay or a spa package.
The season changes what you can use
The operator divides the water park into two levels. The upper level has indoor and outdoor thermal pools and is advertised as open throughout the year. The lower level is seasonal, from spring until Easter according to the product page. If a particular slide, pool or lower-level photo is why you are going, confirm that section is available on your actual date. “Open all year” for the product does not mean every area is open all year.
The park also lists pools at different temperatures, a children’s area, picnic shelters and barbecue facilities. Barbecue spaces cannot be reserved and are taken in arrival order. Adventure activities are separate from the basic admission and call for suitable clothing and closed footwear. Visitors who primarily want thermal bathing should not assume that an adventure-inclusive offer is the standard ticket.
Starting from Mendoza
The operator places the park about 38 km from Mendoza city, beside the Mendoza River. Basic admission does not include transport. A separate product includes a transfer from the city; the operator’s page identifies a meeting point at Plaza Independencia, but this and the timetable must be checked on the package selected. Do not buy admission only and assume a shuttle seat is included.
Meals, lockers and robe rental also appear as separate items on the base product. Before comparing prices, check exactly what each offer includes, especially if travelling with children. The operator’s own page contains conflicting cancellation wording: one field says “not cancellable,” while another describes cancellation or rescheduling with 24 hours’ notice. We therefore do not promise a cancellation right; ask the operator for the terms of the specific booking.
Questions to settle before leaving
Is the water park the same as Hotel & Spa Termas Cacheuta? No. They are distinct products under the same operator. Choose the experience you actually intend to visit.
Does my ticket include the Mendoza transfer? Not the basic water-park ticket. Check the separate transfer offer and pickup details.
Are all pools open in winter? The operator says the upper level operates year-round and the lower level is seasonal. Verify current areas before booking.
